Through these Frequently Asked Questions, I try to best answer the questions that you are certainly asking yourself before the launch of your project. 1. How long have you been a photographer?
   I have been doing photography for more than 10 years and I decided to professionalize this passion in March 2022 following my return from China.

2. Where are you based?
   I have been based in Vannes in Morbihan in Brittany since 2022, after 13 years abroad.

3. How far do you travel for your reports / photo shoots?
   I travel everywhere in France and abroad to carry out your projects. For each service, I offer a travel package around my home. Beyond this package, additional costs may be charged (mileage, train, plane, accommodation, meals). We can discuss it together, by e-mail, telephone or during our first meeting, to find a suitable solution.
4. What material Do you use?I use a professional digital camera Canon EOS R-series with high-end lenses that allow me to offer you quality work and adapt to your needs.Professional L-Series:

5. What are your services?
   My photography services are intended to enhance you or your company and revolve mainly around editorial, commercial, and institutional reporting and portraiture, with a specialization in the hotel and tourism sectors. I also offer visual communication services.

6. Do you offer video services?
   For the moment no, I prefer photography, which is closer to my vision. However, I can call on a freelance videographer for your projects in addition to the photographic service.

7. Do you have a studio?
   At the moment I don’t have a studio in Vannes. I prefer photography in natural light and come to the place of your choice or that we define together, a place conducive to relaxation, escape and emotions.

8. What inspires you?
   Every encounter, every place is a source of inspiration. I like to let myself be surprised through nature, aesthetics, music, light, architecture and black and white which is very present in my photographic universe. My approach is to express emotions, to tell a story. As soon as I have the possibility, I like to make the emotional choice of black and white which corresponds more to my sensitivity. Black and white highlights lines, catches light and gives a poetic and timeless dimension. It is a real aesthetic and artistic choice.

9. Do you work with a team?
   In most of my projects, I work alone, for me photography is a work in harmony with you. However, I can call on freelance partners for specific needs (Hairdresser, Make-up artist, Stylist, Videographer, etc.).

10. How does a photo session take place?
    A photography session always takes place in several stages. First, you have to prepare the shoot in question, understand what you want. Understanding the need and purpose of the photograph is very important to achieve accurate work. Much of my photography incorporates people who don’t model professionally, so I allow plenty of opportunities to converse before and during the shoot, putting them at ease in front of the camera. My inclusive and collaborative approach to work produces fun, genuine moments as they unfold. It keeps shoots spontaneous, light, and full of energy, and to the best of my ability, will give a very natural, emotionally relevant final picture. I invite you to contact me to discuss it together.
11. Do you retouch photos?
    All photos that you receive will be processed and retouched slightly. I use Lightroom for cataloging, comparing, and initial toning and I use Photoshop for clean-up, color manipulation, and graphic elements.
12. What are the formats of the photos delivered?
    The photos are delivered in High Definition in JPEG and/or in Low Definition (Web format) optimized with my watermark logo (©Sylvain Bris) for any commercial use or publication the mention “photo: ©Sylvain Bris” is mandatory.
13. What is the delivery time for photos?
    For reports, the delivery time is 7 days. For the creation of a photo album, the delivery time is 6 weeks after validation of the model. For fine art prints, the deadline is 3 to 4 weeks.
14. What is the price of your services?

    Tell me about your project, let’s define together the service that best meets your expectations, and you will receive a personalized quote as soon as possible.

15. Do I have to pay a deposit when signing the contract?
    You will be asked for a deposit of 40% when signing the quote and the contract and the rest of the amount must be paid when the photos are delivered.

16. Are the photos free of rights?
    Except in exceptional cases, no, the photos are not free of rights. In accordance with articles L. 111-1, L. 121-1, L. 121-2, and L. 123-1 of the Intellectual Property Code, I remain the sole owner of the photos. For individuals, I give you the right to use and distribute photos in a family and private setting. Thus, you can freely share the photos with your loved ones, make your own prints and photo books without any obligation to go through my services, only commercial use of these is prohibited. For professionals, any use or commercial publication must include the mention “photo: ©Sylvain Bris”.

17. Can I model for you?
    I’m often looking for new faces! Experience isn’t always necessary, but you do need to be comfortable in front of the camera. Most of my photo shoots take place in the Vannes Area, but when I do travel, I often like to do test shoots while I explore a new spot.
